Bill Mann, Owner

Growing up in Marblehead, I spent a lot of time around boats. As the owner of a small marketing company focused on graphic design, I was able to have some control over my free time, which allowed me to support my sailing and fishing habits. During that time, I started helping friends design their boat names. Then a few more. Eventually investing in a plotter to design and produce these graphics  in-house. Word of mouth travels fast in the boating community, and the rest, as they say, is history.

I’m proud of the way we’ve been able to expand our services and products beyond boat graphics for friends, to include a considerable amount of corporate and retail work. We moved into larger office space to accommodate more equipment, and hired and partnered with some amazing installers and designers.

Collaborating with clients and working through the design process is a passion and remains the core of our business. It’s an honor to be part of this very personal process, knowing we’re able to deliver a quality product for our customers.

After serving in the military and attending the University of Illinois, I relocated to Marblehead from Chicago and became a commercial fisherman.

Years later my career shifted to licensed contractor, working on projects from fine woodworking to home building where attention to detail, precision and resourcefulness are essential.  I apply these skills daily with the Vinyl GraphicWorks team in installation, innovation and professional customer service.

When I am not working with Bill and Keith on creative designs and installations, I spend my time fly-tying, fly fishing and desperately trying to improve my golf game and keep tabs on my three teenagers.

I like treats and keeping seagulls out of boatyards. I have a girl, a boy and two little girls at home. I tell them when it’s time to feed me. Twice. Sometimes more. But I can’t count, I’m a dog. I get treats at work too. The guys at work are good guys. They give me treats. This one time I was, wait … Squirrel!
